“Describe a time you checked a specification before an order was placed.”

I helped coordinate custom T-shirts for a club. Before ordering, I compared the final list with each participant’s recorded size and found several entries that had been copied into the wrong column. I asked the organizer to confirm the ambiguous entries and sent a clean proof for approval. When the order arrived, I checked it against the approved version rather than my first notes. I explained one remaining discrepancy to the supplier with the relevant documentation. This was not healthcare work, but it demonstrates a habit I would bring to optical retail: verify specifications, communicate uncertainty and avoid claiming knowledge or authority I do not have.
