Target · free assessment guide

Prepare for the task in your Target invitation.

Target confirms that some applications include job-related assessments. No universal hourly test vendor, length, pass mark or retry wait was verified. Recorded video is an interview format; it is not evidence that every applicant takes the same aptitude test.

Assumptions
to avoid.

What this preparation can and cannot tell you.

before you
start…

Fair questions.

How many HireVue questions or retakes will I get?

Target’s official guide allows practice responses to be watched, deleted and retried, and an actual answer to be rerecorded before final submission if dissatisfied. It does not publish a universal question count, per-answer timer or attempt count. Follow your invitation and the platform instructions.[2]

Should I memorize these explanations?

No. They teach a way to think through original exercises; they are not Target answers or a scoring formula.

What if no assessment is assigned?

Complete the actual application tasks. Do not assume you need a separate assessment-prep product.
