“Tell me about a project you rescued after a dependency slipped.”

I coordinated a volunteer workshop whose equipment delivery was delayed. I listed what depended on the equipment and what could proceed independently, then checked the actual arrival estimate with the supplier. I gave the organizer two options: postpone the entire workshop or reorder the sessions and borrow the minimum equipment for the first day. We chose the second option after confirming it was practical. I assigned owners for the borrowed equipment and sent an updated schedule with the remaining risk clearly marked. The workshop ran, although one demonstration moved to the next day. Afterwards I added an earlier dependency check to the planning list instead of treating the recovery as a reason to keep the same process.
